In this critical book review of Martin Heidegger's Being and Time, Gerhard Krüger tries to answer the following question : could Heidegger's hermeneutic of the Dasein become the theological anthropology that is so desperately needed by Christian dogmatic theology ? Without ignoring the danger that natural thought represents for theology, Krüger deems theological anthropology necessary for any adequate resolution of the fundamental theological problem that the interpretation of the sacred texts poses to the theologian.
