Ce texte propose une analyse de l'exposition La Triennale : Intense Proximité d'Okwui Enwezor (Palais de Tokyo, 2012) à partir d'une approche ethnographique. En prenant en compte les différents acteurs engagés dans le projet — commissaires d'exposition, acteurs politiques et culturels — et en analysant leurs intérêts et valeurs propres, il entend montrer comment le concept de l'exposition a pris progressivement forme, dans un contexte politique français d'autant plus délicat qu'il était lié aux élections présidentielles de 2012. This paper takes an ethnographic approach to analyse the making of Okwui Enwezor's exhibition La Triennale: Intense Proximity (Palais de Tokyo, 2012). It examines the different actors involved in the project—the curators, politicians and cultural administrators—and assesses their interests and inherent values in order to show how the concept of the exhibition gradually took shape within a particularly delicate political context in France since it was linked to the 2012 French presidential elections.
