L'interdisciplinarité est souvent présentée comme une caractéristique et une valeur clés de la recherche en sciences sociales, dont les sciences de gestion. Toutefois, dans un contexte de surspécialisation, les conditions d'un dialogue interdisciplinaire doivent être interrogées. Cet article offre une illustration de la manière dont des théories issues de la sociologie peuvent être articulées dans un dialogue fructueux permettant de mieux comprendre un enjeu majeur de la recherche en management (public) aujourd'hui : celui de la coexistence de logiques institutionnelles. Cet article mobilise et combine trois perspectives théoriques (politique, conventionnaliste et subjectiviste) pour expliquer les enjeux de pouvoir, les fondements éthiques et la matérialité à l'œuvre dans le pluralisme institutionnel. Ce faisant, cet article contribue à la mise en œuvre de dialogues fructueux entre les disciplines (gestion, science politique, sociologie) en proposant trois modalités d'enrichissement mutuel: le plus petit dénominateur commun, la relation de communication et l'inspiration. Interdisciplinarity is often singled out as a valuable characteristic of research in the social sciences in general, and in management notably. In a time of overspecialization, however, the conditions for dialogue among disciplines need to be re-explored. This article offers an illustration of how theories –which mainly originates from the sociology– can be articulated in a fruitful dialogue helping to better understand a central issue in today's (public) management research, i.e. how institutional logics may co-exist. This article mobilizes and combines three theoretical perspectives (political, conventionalist, subjectivist) in order to understand the role of power, ethical agency and materiality in the context of institutional pluralism. Further down the line, the article paves the way for a fruitful dialogue between disciplines (management, political science, sociology): it highlights three concrete avenues for interdisciplinary enrichment, i.e. the lowest common denominator, the relation of communication, and the inspiration.
