Il est improbable, au vu de l'alliance entre les États-Unis et Israël, que le Printemps arabe n'ait un effet, autre que sémantique, sur celle-ci. Néanmoins, Les États-Unis et Israël doivent s'adapter à la nouvelle réalité géopolitique régionale et aux opinions publiques arabes, jusqu'alors inconnues. Des différences de perceptions entre les États-Unis, avec ses intérêts globaux, et Israël, avec une perception régionale plus étroite, fondée sur une doctrine de survie, risquent de devenir une source de tensions croissante entre les deux alliés. La réelle divergence entre Washington et Jérusalem porte sur la centralité de la solution du conflit israélo-palestinien pour la paix et la stabilité du Moyen Orient. It is unlikely, in the view of the alliance between the United States and Israel, that the ‘Arab Spring' will exert an impact beyond the semantics. However, the United States and Israel, are being forced to adapt to the new geopolitical reality and the, until now unknownf, Arab public opinion. As such, the differences in perspective between the US with its global interests and Israel's narrow regional view, is likely to become a growing source of tension. The real divergence between the views of Washington and Jerusalem is the centrality of resolving the Israel-Palestine dispute for peace and stability in the Middle East.
