L'autonomie croissante de la diplomatie turque, et son redéploiement au Moyen-Orient, fait écho à la perte du contrôle américain sur la région. La Turquie est toujours un allié majeur des États-Unis dans cette partie du monde ; néanmoins, la relation est remise en cause. The growing autonomy of Turkish diplomacy, its reorientation towards the Middle East, echoes the loss of American influence in the region. Turkey is still a major ally of the United States ; however, the relationship between the two countries is going though a questioning phase.
