Dans son article, Caroline Coutau éclaire le dialogue entre auteur·e·s et éditeurs/trices et les différents modes de discussion et d'intervention sur les textes. Discrètes et délicates, les propositions éditoriales ont un impact sur le texte publié, ainsi que le montrent plusieurs exemples issus de sa pratique d'éditrice. L'échange entre ces deux protagonistes de la production littéraire s'élabore au fil d'un dialogue portant sur les qualités et les problèmes d'un texte et dans une collaboration qui tient compte à la fois du texte et de la personnalité de l'auteur. In her article Caroline Coutau sheds light on the dialogue between authors and editors and the different ways in which texts can be discussed and worked on. Citing several examples of her experience as an editor, she shows how editorial suggestions, discreet and considerate, have an impact on the published text. She shows how the exchange between these two protagonists of literary production develops in the course of a dialogue on the qualities and problems of the text as well as in the course of a collaboration that takes into account both the text and the author's personality.
