| Résumé |
La ville est créatrice d'images qui stimulent un imaginaire collectif. Le passant la découvre au gré de ses sensations, d'une perception qui lui est propre. La ville est pour lui le théâtre de la rencontre entre le profane et le sacré, le privé et le public, l'intime et l'extime, etc., elle permet une structuration de ces rapports et de ces échanges et offre ainsi une multiplicité de scénarios alimentant plusieurs possibilités narratives à l'origine de la fabrique de ces images. Il en devient pertinent, en posant les sociabilités et les spatialités de la ville comme instituantes de ces imaginaires, de se pencher sur les possibilités qu'offre la production artistique en espace public dans la formation de nouveaux récits collectifs. Cet article étudiera deux exemples très distincts de médiations artistiques appliquées à l'espace public pour observer les modifications qu'elles apportent aux ambiances urbaines et voir si elles favorisent l'émergence de véritable spatialité urbaine en ville. The city creates images that stimulate a collective imaginary. The passer-by discovers it according to his feelings, to a perception of his own. The city is for him, the theater of the encounter between the profane and the sacred, the private and the public, the intimate and the extimate, etc., it allows a structuring of his exchanges within the urban setting and thus offers a multiplicity of scenarios feeding several narrative possibilities. It becomes relevant, by posing the sociabilities and spatialities of the city as instituting of these imaginaries, to look into the possibilities offered by artistic production in public space in the formation of new collective narratives. This article will study two very distinct examples of artistic mediations applied to public space to observe the changes they bring to urban ambiances and see if they promote the emergence of true urban spatialities within the city.
