Résumé |
The occupationnal wage differentials. The french experiment
In the most advanced economies, the stability of functional distribution of incomes is generally going with rigidity of wage structure. This does not prevent any modifications of occupationnal wage differentials in the short run. The french experiment of twenty last years discloses a strong interdependance between the wage increases of socially and professionally nearest groups. That suggests the existence of a special spread mechanism of wage increases. Moreover, the fluctuations of wage differentials and of unemployment rate, taken as indicator of the general economic situation, are opposite ; alternative explanations of this inverse relation are proposed.
