The future of history.
The article provides an extensive selection of reactions to Daniel Roche's article, « Today's historians. Comments for a debate », published in issue No. 12 (Octo-ber-December 1986) : university and high school researchers' and teachers' experiences, discussions about archives and the work of historians and suggestions for the future are gathered here. Among the contributors : F. Bédarida, R. Rémond and J. Le Goff. The comments suggest that the future of history in France, while not gloomy deserves serious discussion.
