?LA COMMUNAUTÉ VILLAGEOISE COMME SYSTÈME POLITIQUE: UN MODÈLE OUEST-AFRICAIN, par CLAUDETTE SAVONNET-GUYOT
Système politique original qui ne trouve pas aisément sa place dans les typologies classiques, la communauté villageoise développe des formes de démocratie que ne peuvent produire ni les Etats centralisés de type plus ou moins féodal, ni les sociétés lignagères crispées sur l'autorité de leurs doyens. On comprend donc l'intérêt que lui portent les dirigeants qui se réclament du socialisme. L'articulation au niveau villageois de deux réseaux de solidarités complémentaires donne à la construction communale une capacité de résistance aux ruptures internes qui n'exclut pas, bien au contraire, celle d'accueillir l'innovation. Comme tout schéma institutionnel, celui-ci pose à la réflexion politique des questions fondamentales : quelles fins politiques s'assigne le système villageois ? De quelles idéologies s'inspire-t-il ? Sur quelles formations sociales agit-il et à l'aide de quelles stratégies ? Jusqu'où va l'autonomie du politique ?
