DURKHEIM ET LE SOCIALISME DE LA CHAIRE, par PAUL-LAURENT ASSOUN
A partir de l'analyse de l'épisode connu de la biographie intellectuelle de Durkheim ? sa rencontre avec les théories sociales allemandes, et notamment le « socialisme de la chaire » ? il s'agit d'expliciter le sens profond de cette rencontre, de cerner l'identité durkheimienne, tant idéologique que théorique. En cernant à la fois l'apport allemand et la genèse de la différence par laquelle s'institue le projet spécifiquement durkheimien, on pourra apprécier son mode d'intervention dans le champ de la science politique. A travers cette question particulière, c'est le problème fondamental de l'articulation entre les modèles théoriques et la théorie de la connaissance sociopolitique qui est abordé. Il s'agit donc d'une contribution à l'élucidation de l'identité même de la science politique présente, l'enquête sur la constitution de la « mémoire historique » de la science politique éclairant directement ses enjeux et ses problèmes les plus actuels.

DURKHEIM AND THE SOCIALISM OF THE PROFESSORAL CHAIR, by PAUL-LAURENT ASSOUN
The object here, on the basis of an analysis of that known episode in Durkheim's intellectual biography ? his encounter with German social theories, and particularly « the socialism of the professoral chair » ? is to elucidate the underlying meaning of this encounter, to determine Durkheim's ideological and theoretical identity. By determining both the German contribution and the origin of the difference whereby the specifically Durkheimian project came into being, it will be possible to assess his method of intervention in the field of political science. This specific question serves to introduce the fundamental problem of the link between theoretical models and the theory of sociopolitical knowledge. The aim, therefore, is to contribute to the elucidation of the actual identity of current political science, the inquiry into the constitution of the « historical memory » of political science throwing a direct light on its issues and its most topical problems.
