Jacqueline Frisch-Gauthier : Laugh in the work group.
From notes taken daily in a factory work-room, the author deduces that the possibility of laughter counterbalances the toilsome aspects of work and makes it possible to get even with an authority which remains formal. Most of the jokes have a meaning in so far as they are connected with the social relations in the enterprise : they may sometimes be the only means of communication between persons who have few common interests and are however obliged to live side by side.
