Raymond Boudon : The model of latent classes.
Lazarsfeld's model of latent classes reveals a possible solution to a methodological problem of interest to sociology and other humanistic sciences. This article shows the relationship of this solution to Spearman's solution of a similar problem in the neighbouring field of psychology. One of the proposed solution to the model is presented in two separate parts. The first could be used in systematic programming.
