Alain Kling : Hemophilia of values or influence through sympathy ? An experiment.
The tendency of many people to dislike those whose opinions vary from theirs (homophilia) has as counterpart the tendency of some persons to accept through sympathy the opinions of those they like (influence through sympathy). But these dynamics do not appear in the same type of personalities. The experiment carried out tends to show that influentiability appears in personalities with no rigidity, while homophilia appears only after a certain degree of rigidity, beyond which finaly, none of the two dynamics work at all.
