Résumé anglais P. Grupp — The French 'Colonial Party' during World War I: Two Attempts for a Common Program. The so-called 'colonial party' was in fact a loose, informal organization of various voluntary unofficial bodies. Two attempts were made, under the aegis, respectively, of the Paris Geographical Society and Deputy E. Etienne, to coordinate their action so as to define a post-war policy. Both failed, and the real leadership of the colonial lobby remained in the hands of a few individuals.
