Résumé anglais P. Bonte Et N. Echard— ~~History and Stories : Concepts of the Past among the Hausa and Kel Gress Twareg of Ader (Niger Republic).~~ The Hausa and Kel Gress share a common environment since the beginning of the 19th century. Despite this cohabitation over more than a century there are but few evidences of a common historical tradition — in spite of the existence of an economic system based on complementary and reciprocal exchanges. An examination of both the historical traditions and the respective social structures tends to demonstrate that this mutual ignorance is a product of social ideology and tends to preserve and protect the social identities of the two groups.
