La coalition menée par les États-Unis a de facto perdu la guerre contre les Taliban et sera à terme obligée de se retirer. Cela représente un succès pour l'armée pakistanaise qui soutient les Taliban pour éviter la reconstitution d'un axe Kaboul-New Dehli, tout en profitant de l'aide américaine. Pourtant, le retrait occidental ouvre une période difficile pour le Pakistan. Les Taliban ont en effet des relations tendues avec leur protecteur pakistanais et reprendront leur autonomie dès que leur leadership sera revenu en Afghanistan. Par ailleurs, la coalition mène de plus en plus d'opérations sur le territoire pakistanais, ce qui contribue à sa déstabilisation. Finalement, le Pakistan paye le prix d'une politique de manipulation des mouvements jihadistes et de l'obsession que constitue la question indienne pour l'armée pakistanaise. A disastrous victory? The consequences of Afghan war on Pakistan The international coalition under the American leadership has already lost the war against the Taliban and will be soon obliged to exit Afghanistan. This is a major success for the Pakistani army, which has supported the Taliban to avoid the reconstitution of a Kabul-New Dehli axis and managed at the same time to get the U. S. financial support. Yet, Pakistan is now in a difficult situation since the Taliban have in fact tense relationship with their Pakistani patron. In fact, the Taliban leadership will take back its autonomy as soon as it will be back in Afghanistan. In addition, the international coalition is striking more and more often inside the Pakistani territory, which is contributing to the destabilization of the country.
