Les formes d'actions transnationales, parce qu'elles renvoient, pour partie au moins, à des pratiques et configurations dans lesquelles la superposition routinière une société / un État est encore plus problématique qu'elle ne l'est déjà lorsque l'enquête est cantonnée à l'intérieur de frontières nationales, peuvent appeler à déployer des stratégies empiriques et théoriques particulières. C'est le propos de cet article que d'en exposer quelques-unes, qui renvoient à la question de l'identification du terrain et des processus d'internationalisation. L'article réfléchit aux moyens de saisir la division du travail dans ces organisations internationales, et au traçage des parcours individuels comme moyen de reconstituer les milieux de l'activisme international. Localizing the Field of the International Transnational forms of activism partially involve practices and configurations in which the superposition between society and the state is even more problematic than it already is when action is considered “local”. Their observation can therefore involve specific empirical and theoretical strategies. This articles aims to expose some of them, linked to the identification of “the field” and of internationalization processes. The article examines the ways to grasp the division of labor in those international organizations, and to track individual trajectories as a way of mapping the worlds of transnational activism.
