Résumé anglais Somewhere between the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1990s, new directions in social anthropology in France and in Europe, in many ways similar to the “philological” turning point in the United States at the same period, marked the beginning of a much-needed updating in social anthropology. Today we consider the extensions around questions of new fields of study and the situational approach and the need to go beyond the pitfall of identity in the context of globalization.
