À travers l'expérience technopolitaine du Parc de Hsinchu à Taiwan, cet article soulève la question d'une possible transition d'un pôle de croissance vers un district industriel. Étant un produit artificiel de l'intervention publique et non un produit de l'histoire comme le district industriel, le technopôle n'est pas supposé constituer une entité socio-territoriale reposant sur une communauté de valeurs. Mais dans le contexte socioculturel d'une société traditionnelle et holiste comme la société chinoise, plusieurs caractéristiques de l'organisation du technopôle de Hsinchu laissent à penser qu'une transition vers un district industriel est possible. The Hsinchu technopolitan experience in Taiwan : can a growth pole become an industrial district ? Through the Taiwanese experience of the Hsinchu Science Based Industrial Park, this article aims at answering to the question : can a growth pole can become an industrial district ? Created by the government, technopoles are not supposed to become socio-economic territories regulated by values shared in common. However, in a traditional and holistic society like Chinese society, several features of the technopole organization let us think that a transition towards an industrial district is possible.
