A french consul in the midst of the 1911 revolution At the beginning of the 1911 revolution, the attitude of foreign powers was empirical. Distanced from their hierarchy, the diplomats had to take the initiative. What if the attitude of the French consul Réau had contributed to the success of the Wuchang Uprising ?
