À partir d'une double approche, socio-anthropologique et historique, notre contribution propose, à travers une ethnographie du mouvement des femmes de l'Irak post-Saddam et une étude historique de l'évolution des politiques de genre en Irak depuis l'époque ba'athiste jusqu'à la période d'occupation américaine, à éclairer les imbrications des questions de genre, de religion et de nation dans l'Irak contemporain. Through a both socio-anthropological and historical approach, this article seeks to analyze the imbrication of gender, religion and nation in contemporary Iraq. It relies on a ethnography of the post-2003 Iraqi women's movement and a study of gender politics in the country from the period of the ba'ath regime to the occupation of the country by the US-led forces.
