Urban growth rate in Albania is a very reasonable one. However there are numerous new towns, owing to the gathering of the agricultural exploitations, to the opening of mining and industrial centers, to the development of the transport network. As for the older towns, some of them (Korça, Shkodra) are slowly growing but others like Elbasan, Durres, Vora and especially Tirana increase fastly. Source : Éditeur (via Persée) |
