For about ten years, deep socio-economics changes have occured in Caluire-et-Cuire, a town situated in the North of Lyon, between two rivers, the Rhône and the Saône. Changes derive from the development of the Lyonese urban area. This evolution is shown in the urban land market, precious indicator of the urban development. If this market is actually going down because of the economic crisis, the speculation (by the way of compensation) increases, and lends to a hart social segregation, which separates the Lyonese area in two blocks, East and West (Caluire-et-Cuire belonging to the second). This phenomenon is a permanent risk to the future of the urban planning, because no political determination to check it has yet appeared. Source : Éditeur (via Persée) |
