The urban of Saint-Etienne is a by-product of a long conflict which was characterized by local capital's making way for powerful external capital. Today, as this national capital is being re-structured, it strengthens or refines the space différenciations within the town, and at the same highlights the domineering relationships exerting themselves on a characterized centre of sub-contracting industry.
