The migrations in Syria are investigated with the 1960 and 1970 census. Three main tendancies are observed : — are international emigration of young male adults. This movemen': affects the various categories of population. It is related woth political contingencies ; — a marked sedentarization affecting nomadic groups. This tendency was enforced with the abrogation in 1958 of the particular tribal legislation ; — some internal movements, strong growing since 1965, with a bug surplus for the south province where is the capital.
