About the holiday migrations of Montélimar population. In the middle of the Rhône valley, between Lyon and Marseille, the town of Montélimar reaches 30 000 permanent residents. The first part of this article tries to analyse the different reasons why the inhabitants leave on holidays. They go chiefly towards mountains, coasts and foreign countries but do not exceed long distances. The second part studies the regional non- touristic travels. Our index of attraction allows us to point out and know more precisely the connections on a regional scale. We can therefore prove that the attraction of Valence and Lyon are more important than the influence of Avignon and Marseille. Source : Éditeur (via Persée) |
