Educational Choices, General Equilibrium and Economic Growth,

A proper understanding of the role of human capital in economic growth is best achieved in a framework where microeconomic educational choices are imbedded in a general equilibrium model. We therefore consider an overlapping generations model, written in continuous time to facilitate the description of life-cycle behaviour, and we show that the possibility of endogenous growth arises quite naturally in such a framework.
