| Résumé | «DÉMOCRATIE» EN PALESTINE, OU AVATARS ET FONCTIONS D'UN CONCEPT POLITIQUE L'histoire de «démocratie» dans les textes de l'OLP est à mettre en relation avec le projet d'État national. Selon l'interlocuteur, les emplois de « démocratie » diffèrent : des fractions de la société civile représentées par l'Université de Bir Zeit à celles représentées par les islamistes, le mot démocratie s'associe à : liberté, pluralisme, élections, droits de l'homme mais aussi à : exceptionalisme et pouvoir. L'enjeu de ces variations étant le projet d'État que chacun souhaite mettre en œuvre. | |
| Résumé anglais | « DEMOCRACY» IN PALESTINE, TRANSFORMATIONS AND FUNCTIONS OF A POLITICAL CONCEPT The history of « democracy » in PLO texts is to be put in relation with the planning of a national state. Depending on the speaker, one can distinguish distinct meanings of the word. From some elements of civil society such as the University of Bir Zeit to other groups such as islamic organizations, the different uses of the word are dealing with liberty, pluralism, elections, human rights, but also exceptionalism, power. What is at stake in these variations is the plan each one makes for a state which is to be erected. | |
