En janvier 2007, le GSPC algérien annonçait son allégeance à Al-Qaïda sous le nom d'AQMI. De 2007 à 2009, l'AQMI a multiplié les attentats-suicide et les prises d'otages selon le modus operandi d'Al-Qaïda centrale. En utilisant le modèle des organisations complexes de Richard Scott, nous démontrons, par une analyse comparative des piliers cognitif, normatif et régulatif d'Al-Qaïda avec ceux d'AQMI, que cette dernière a échoué dans sa tentative d'intégrer Al-Qaïda. Ainsi, malgré son nom, l'AQMI reste essentiellement une organisation algérienne, Al-Qaïda ne lui servant que de label. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |

AQIM, Subsidiary of Al-Qaeda or Algerian Organization? In January 2007, the Algerian SGPC announced its allegiance to Al-Qaeda under the name of AQIM. From 2007 to 2009, AQIM launched a campaign of suicide bombings and hostage takings, following Al-Qaeda's modus operandi. In using Richard Scott model of complex organizations, we show, through a comparative analysis of Al-Qaeda cognitive, normative and regulative pillars with those of AQIM, that AQIM failed in its attempt to merge with Al-Qaeda.
