Sur fond d'analyse de la qualité, d'anti-sélection (sélection adverse) et d'asymétrie d'information, cet article ouvre un champ d'application du modèle économique d'Akerlof sur les Lemons (tacots) à l'assurance maritime des navires pétroliers. En liaison avec le concept de risque pétrolier maritime, qui renvoie à un système de deux risques principaux (le risque de pollution pétrolière et le risque sur corps du navire pétrolier), l'étude fournit une structure des coûts économiques liés au laxisme des sociétés de classification. La réflexion s'élargit à une contribution au besoin d'interventionnisme, à travers le contrôle des sociétés de classification, afin d'éviter l'effondrement du transport maritime pétrolier. Based on quality analysis, adverse-selection and asymmetrical information, this article opens a field application of the economic model of Akerlof on Lemons with marine insurance of the oil tankers. In connection with the concept of oil risk maritime, which returns to a system of two principal risks (the risk of the oil pollution and the risk on the hull of the oil tankers), this paper provides a structure of the economic costs related to the laxism of the companies of classification. The reflexion extends to a contribution to the need for interventionism, through the control of the classification companies to avoid the deterioration of the quality of the oil maritime transport market.
