Wie die meisten anderen Europäischen Demokratien ist Frankreich heute mit einer •multikulturellen Revolution •als Begleiterscheinung zur soziologischen Umwandlung seiner Bevölkerung konfrontiert. Unter anderen Institutionen muss die Schule dem Anstieg der identitären Forderungen der Schüler begegnen. Ohne ein zur Zeit beschränktes Phänomen zu übertreiben erklärt dieser Artikel die Hintergründe und erinnert an die Haupterscheinungen. Er versucht auch die Grenzen der institutionnellen Antworten zu betonen und lädt dabei zu einer Neuformulierung des heiligen republikanischen Prinzipes der Konfessionslosigkeit ein. Public school facing the multicultural challenge : Present situation and prospects in France
Like most of the other European democracies, France is today confronted with a «multicultural revolution «, corollary of the sociologica transformation of the population. Among other institutions, school must face the rise of pupils' demands for recognition. Without exaggerating an actually limited phenomenon, this paper explains its motives and reminds its main demonstrations..
