The construction of the couple under the parents'watch
In spite of protests of independence, the couple does not reject all form of parental intervention. At the beginning of their relationship, young people seek for some kind of support, ask more or less consciously that their choice be confirmed by significant people, more particularly by their parents. The precocity of the first meeting with the partner's parents is a good indicator and shows that these encounters are a stage both in their conjugal commitment and filial positioning.
