Le processus de socialisation et d'éducation non formelle des enfants constitue un élément clé de la transmission culturelle. Son analyse dans le contexte migratoire, du rural vers l'urbain, nous apprend beaucoup à propos des stratégies d'accommodation des migrants ruraux au milieu urbain. L'étude de ce processus, tel qu'il est conçu et mis en œuvre par les parents des quartiers urbano-marginaux de la ville d'Ayacucho (Pérou), nous montre comment les façons de faire andines et rurales sont reproduites par ces migrants andins urbanisés. Elle nous permet aussi de voir comment ces derniers ont su intégrer certaines composantes de la culture urbaine afin d'adapter ce processus fondateur à leur nouvel environnement social et matériel. The process of socialization and non formal education of children is a key element of the cultural transmission. Its analysis in the migratory context, from the rural world to the city, can teach us a lot about adaptation strategies to the urban environment among rural migrants. The study of this process, as it is perceived and implemented by the parents in the periurban settlements of the city of Ayacucho (Peru), shows how the Andean rural patterns are reproduced by these urbanized Andean migrants. This study also allows us to see how they integrated some of the urban culture components to adapt this founding process to their new social and material environment.
