À une époque caractérisée par les innombrables possibilités de transmission des informations, chacun est susceptible de subir une atteinte à son droit à l'image. Les personnages publics constituent à cet égard une cible privilégiée. D'un autre côté, un large droit à l'information est reconnu au public. Toute la difficulté consiste dès lors à mettre en balance des intérêts contradictoires. In an age of unlimited information technology, the image rights of each and everyone are potentially under attack. Public figures are, in this respect, prime targets. If the public's right to information through images is largely recognized, the main problems arise when seeking to balance the public's right to information with the image rights of individuals or groups.
