Depuis la fin des années 90, la certification ISO 9000 est en vogue en Chine. Cet article consiste à comparer l'écrit dans les entreprises passant à la certification et celles qui n'y passent pas, pour comprendre les changements apportés par ISO 9000. Dans les entreprises traditionnelles chinoises, l'écrit est plutôt discontinu, machinal, désordonné, non systématique, relativement figé et fonctionne comme une formalité au lieu d'être un outil organique et énergique qui reflète, guide et influence le travail réel. Dans les entreprises soumises à la certification, l'ensemble du processus de travail est accompagné par l'écrit. C'est une révolution silencieuse dans les entreprises chinoises. In the recent years, especially at the end of 1990's, ISO 9000 has come to arrest more attention in China. The present study aims at investigating the changes resulting from standardization by comparing the writing system in the enterprises that passed ISO 9000 in China and those that haven't. Documents in the traditional enterprises tack proper arrangement and. once formulated, are not subject to modification. In many cases, they do not align with the actual conditions. Moreover, not every person is entitled to write. Contrarily, every employee in the enterprises passing ISO 9000 has to write. Therefore, documents become abundant, systematic and ready for modification anytime. Writing marks the beginning and the end of work and thus constitutes a systematic guide.
