Le concept de typification a une longue histoire en sociologie de la connaissance et il représente un des concepts majeurs de la phénoménologie sociale inaugurée par Alfred Schütz. Le questionner sous son aspect de modèle expérientiel permet une reconsidération à la fois de la sphère subjective ainsi que du rapport que la typification entretient à l'altérité. Le but de cet article est de problématiser trois aspects fondamentaux du concept de typification, notamment épistémologique, praxéologique et enfin ontologique, afin de montrer ses propriétés de « modèle » expérientiel. The concept of typification has a long history in sociology of knowledge and it represents one of the key concepts in the social phenomenology initiated by Alfred Schütz. To elaborate an interrogation on its experiential modeling properties allows to reconsider the status of the subjective sphere as well as the relation to alterity that the typification enables. The purpose of this article is to inquire about three fundamental aspects of the concept of typification, namely epistemological, praxeological and ontological in order to show its properties as experiential model.
