Résumé anglais Rooted in the personal memories, shared family times are extremely important to the psychic and identity construction of any person. However, the pressure of everyday life seems to harm family common quality times. In this condition, these times are rare and precious and they require for the parents specific organisation and investment. This organisation can be eased by various factors such as geography, urban context or the number and cost of public equipments (sport and culture), public transports and so on.From a qualitative survey on a sample of 20 Parisian families, this study aims to increase the knowledge of practices and perceptions in terms of children/parents activities. Beyond this reflection about lifestyles, this analysis examines the means set by the public power to sustain those moments. How can a city can set up tools and appropriate equipments to sustain common shared times? Is it possible to create a city adjusted to this “common living”, a city that makes available common space and common time to enhance these moments?
