Du visuel au regard, puis aux points de vue, l'auteur montre qu'un travail psychique peut se réaliser pour transformer le regard, en le contenant et en le pensant.
L'observation psychanalytique du bébé, selon la méthode d'Esther Bick, est pris comme exemple pour démontrer cette hypothèse. De part son dispositif complexe, elle permet un passage du visuel à un regard singulier. L'auteur souligne notamment l'importance du groupe analytique qui contient et met au travail les points de vue de chacun.
Une étude du regard en psychanalyse montre qu'il est le produit d'une histoire du sujet. Envisagé alors comme une tension entre corporéité et altérité, il peut être mis au travail avec l'attention du clinicien. From seeing to looking, and to points of view, the author shows that a psychic work can transform the regard, with containing and thinking it.
The psychoanalytic observation of baby, according to Esther Bick, is an example to demonstrate this hypothesis. Because its complex setting, it makes possible this passage from the visual to the singular point of view. The author underlines here the importance of the analytic group which contains and makes working the different points of view.
The study of the regard in psychoanalysis shows that it is an historical production of the subject. Considered as an tension between lived body and « alterity », it can be working with the practitioner's attention.
