Les Hongrois de Slovaquie constituent le prototype même d'une minorité dans une nation a-historique longtemps magyarisée. La déchirure de Trianon a engendré des tiraillements pour cette minorité. L'article examine la situation de la communauté magyarophone dans la Tchécoslovaquie communiste et postcommuniste (1945-1992). L'accent est mis sur sa répartition géographique et sa démographie différenciée. On analyse ensuite les perceptions et les comportements de la minorité hongroise dans la Slovaquie indépendante. Le complexe hydroélectrique de Gabčíkovo-Nagymaros sur le Danube représente un grave contentieux entre la Slovaquie et la Hongrie. The Hungarians of Slovakia are the very type of a minority within a non-historical nation long hungarianized. The Trianon Treaty caused wranglings for this minority. This paper examines the exact situation of the Hungarian-speaking community as part of communist and postcommunist Czechoslovakia (1945-1992). The geographical distribution and the differentiated demography of the minority are emphasized. The Hungarian-speaking minority's perceptions and behaviors are then scrutinized within the framework of an independent Slovakia. Nowadays, the Danubian Gabčíkovo-Nagymaros power plant is generating a serious dispute between Slovakia and Hungary.
