Dans le présent article, l'auteur examine ce qu'il en est du processus de création (poétique) du point de vue de la psychanalyse (des pulsions, donc), de la phénoménologie et de l'esthétique. Il délimite et différencie trois notions que l'on retrouve souvent à propos de l'art : la sublimation, la création et l'idéalisation. Trop souvent l'on identifie création et sublimation alors que ces deux notions peuvent être antithétiques ; quant à l'idéalisation, elle se révèle être un danger pour la création véritable. L'auteur souligne combien, au-delà de la dimension psychologique, la création mobilise une autre dimension, pour ainsi dire « transcendantale », la dimension esthétique proprement dite, par laquelle l'œuvre dépasse ses déterminations psychiques tout en les assumant par ailleurs. Creation, Sublimation, Idealisation In this article, the author examines the creative (poetic) process from a psychoanalytical (therefore instinctive), phenomenological and esthetic point of view. He defines and differentiates between three concepts often associated with art: sublimation, creation and idealization. Creation and sublimation are too often thought of as identical, whereas the two concepts can be antithetical; as for idealization, it can prove to be a danger to true creation. The author stresses how much creation activates another dimension beyond the psychological, something “transcendental”, an actual aesthetic dimension through which a work goes beyond its psychic meaning, while assuming it at the same time.
