Compter ou faire confiance ? Ce jeu de mot, plus compréhensible en anglais, pose bien les fondements de toute pensée, toute action en matière de chiffres. Sont-ils indicateurs ou résultats des organisations ? Ce dernier numéro de l'année 2013 est consacré à la thématique de la comptabilité, cette « science des comptes » comme la dénomme Georges Reymondin dans une publication de Société Académique de la Comptabilité paru en 1909. Quatre dossiers composent ce numéro double : Modernisation comptable et sphère publique (1), Comptabilité et réglementations (2), Informations comptables et transparence (3) et Méthodes comptables et performance (4). Ils encadrent le cahier central, fruit d'un excellent colloque sur « le désordre, une vertu créatrice ? ». Count on me ! Count on me or trust me ? Count on or trust in ? This play on words, which is so meaningful in English, lays down the foundations for all thoughts, and all actions in terms of figures. Are they indicators or organisational results ? This last edition for 2013 is focused on the theme of accounting, « the science of accounts » as coined by Georges Reymondin in a publication by the Academic Accounting Society in 1909. Four main issues will be covered in this dual edition : accounting modernisation and the public sphere (1), Accounting and regulations (2), Accounting information and transparency (3) and Accounting methods and performance (4). They surround the core theme, which is the fruit of an excellent symposium on « disorder, a creative virtue ? ».
