Résumé anglais Horacio Quiroga (1878-1937) Horacio Quiroga was one of the first Latin American authors to productively incorporate the influence of new technology into his writings. This article aims, on the one hand, to demonstrate how the inclusion of technology into his oeuvre reveals his traumatic experience with modernity in the first two decades of the twentieth century. On the other hand, it shows how this contact allows him to innovate and restructure the written text by incorporating visual aesthetics of technology.
