	Résumé	Comment la France, la Finlande et le Portugal définissent-ils et gèrent-ils le maillage des écoles primaires en milieu rural ? Quel degré d'autonomie chaque pays accorde-t-il aux autorités locales pour organiser l'école ? Ces questions ont amené l'auteur à une analyse des instructions officielles dont la comparaison révèle l'opposition entre la très forte décentralisation finlandaise et un système centralisé caractérisé au Portugal. La France apparaît dans une position médiane. L'article montre que les choix politiques de l'État influent sur la typologie des modes d'organisation des établissements. 	Résumé anglais	Primary school challenges in the rural areas of Finland, France and Portugal How do Finland, France and Portugal define and administer their primary school networks in rural areas? How much autonomy is granted to local authorities to organize school networks in each of these countries? Answering these questions has led us to a documentary analysis based on official bodies. Comparative data have enabled us to know better the highly decentralized Finnish educational administration as opposed to the typically centralized system in Portugal. France is in a middle-ground position between these two countries. Analysis shows that the political orientation of a state may determine the number of typologies a school network is organized into. While in Finland and France there are various organizational models, there is almost only one typology in rural schools in Portugal. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info)
