Résumé |
One of the objectives of this paper is to find out how the initial planning philosophy has influenced the present planning process of the independent governments in Melanesia. The paper first describes past and present planning philosophies in Melanesia with Papua New Guinea as the case study. It is beneficial to historically trace planning procedure and growth trends in order to understand the present and predict future growth trends.
