| Résumé |
L'attention portée à la région, depuis 1995 dans les
pays balkans du Sud-Est, a été consacrée soit à la
constitution d'un espace de libre-échange, soit à
l'adhésion à l'Union européenne. Cependant, les
contraintes de cette dernière ont créé une intégration
monétaire externe, tandis que la multiplication des
Etats handicape tout ajustement réciproque des
budgets ou du marché du travail. Ce dernier s'ajuste
par l'économie informelle ou par l'émigration,
laissant les flux économiques de chaque pays

THE THEORIES OF ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
CONFRONTED WITH THE TASK OF REBUILDING
SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE
Most of the attention towards this area since 1995 has been devoted either to the European membership process, or to the building of a free trade area. However, while the constraints of the European adhesion introduce an externally driven currency integration, the multiplication of the national States handicaps any interregional budgetary and labor market adjustment. This last one adjusts by informal economy or foreign emigration, leaving again economic flows in each country of the region under a heavy dependence from the outer world.
