Résumé anglais This article analyzes Historia del llanto (2007) by the Argentine Alan Pauls as a fictional narrative that builds a new point of view regarding memory and the subject of testimony. Our hypothesis proposes that this novel explore the ethical dimension of the remembering, from the configuration of an underlining corporeality that sketches an obligatory trace for the constitution of memory :  the encounter with the ‘other'. In establishing its theoretical base, this article draws upon Mijaíl Bajtín and his contributions regarding the relations between otherness, ethics and corporeality.
