La réalisation de stages en entreprise conditionne l'obtention du baccalauréat professionnel et mobilise des ressources spécifiques de la part des lycéens concernés, en majorité issus de milieux populaires. Le stage constitue à la fois un enjeu scolaire et un enjeu de professionnalisation. Cet article montre que si l'origine sociale, la densité des offres des entreprises locales et l'accompagnement par l'institution scolaire influencent l'accès et le maintien en stage, le rôle le plus significatif est joué par le réseau familial. Construite comme un support de relations informelles utilisées stratégiquement pour accéder aux entreprises, la mobilisation du réseau familial est une donnée primordiale. Inequality in accessing internships for young people in vocational diplomas Obtaining the vocational baccalaureate diploma is conditional upon the completion of an internship, which requires the high-school students concerned, generally from working-class backgrounds, to mobilise specific resources. Internships are key, both to success at school and to professionalization. This article shows that although social background, the number of offers from local businesses and the accompaniment offered by the school institution all influence the access and continuation of the internship, the most significant role is played by the family network. Constructed as support-network of informal relations and used strategically to access businesses, the mobilization of the family network is fundamental.
