Les notables militants d'un quartier de Moscou classé « monument d'urbanisme de la période soviétique », objet de toutes les convoitises et autogéré par ses itmusée puis ses usages montrent la pluralité des objectifs et la difficulté de l'entreprise : construire la figure de l'autochtone métropolitain post-socialiste pour légitimer sa présence, fabriquer des objets qui prouvent cette autochtonie,réaliser le mythe d'une communauté en faisant des choses ensemble... Le défi est relevé avec un pragmatisme virtuose de l'art de la syncope temporelle et du syncrétisme des valeurs, tandis qu'une approche en termes de « vie sociale » de cet espace permet de mettre à jour la labilité complexe des rapports sociaux qui se nouent à travers sa manipulation. A Living Museum : Making the Post-Soviet Figure of the Urban Aboriginal in Moscow Local notabilities of a Moscow district classified as ‘‘Inheritance of Soviet Urbanism'', much coveted and yet self-administrated, decide to create a museum of their garden city. The making of this museum, and then its uses,show the plurality of their objectives and the difficulties of the challenge, i.e. : to produce the figure of the post-socialist metropolitan aboriginal to legitimate one's inhabiting the garden-city, to make objects of exposure proper to prove this autochtony, to realise the myth of a community by doing things together... They take up the challenge with a virtuoso pragmatism of the art of time syncopationand of syncretism of values. While for the anthropologist, an approach of this space in terms of ‘‘social life'' allows to understand the ever-changing complexity of the social relations people build by manipulating this space.
