Sept ans après la Libération, un accident
automobile mortel révèle un scandale politique : un député élu en 1951
s'avère avoir été un ancien espion des Allemands, collaborateur et
déserteur de l'armée française. Après avoir retracé son parcours,
l'enquête cherche à comprendre comment cet imposteur a su, en
profitant des failles de la démocratie, accumuler des recommandations
politiques et policières et tromper les autorités. L'affaire révèle
des représentations datées et les dysfonctionnements de la société de

Seven years after the Liberation of France, a fatal
car accident revealed a political scandal: an MP, elected in 1951
appeared to have been a former German spy, a collaborator and a French
army deserter. After a survey of his personnel history, the inquest
tries to understand how this impostor could, owing to the limits of
democracy, benefit from political and police recommendations and at
the same time deceive the authorities. The scandal reveals outdated
representations and the dysfunctions of the society during the Fourth
